Erindale is a nice neighbourhood of Mississauga. Highway 403 lies to the north, Credit River runs in the East and South border of Erindale, GO train line, Wolfedale and Mavis Road run in the West.

Schools

There are numerous Catholic and public school in Erindale. The public elementary and middle schools include Queenston Drive Public School, Ellengale Public School, The Woodlands School, McBride Public School, Hawthorn Public School, and Springfield Public School. The Catholic elementary and middle schools include St. Gerard Separate School, Blessed John XXIII Catholic Elementary School, and St. Jerome Separate School. The public high school in Erindale is The Woodlands Secondary School and the Catholic high school is St. Martin Secondary School.

Publci Transportation

Erindale is very well connected within Mississauga as well as the rest of the GTA. The Mississauga transit (MiWay) runs through Erindale and has numerous bus stops scattered throughout the area. The Erindale GO train and bus station is located to the north-east of Erindale. This makes convenient to travel westwards towards Milton, as well as eastwards to Union Station in downtown Toronto.

Nature

There are various parks in Erindale where one can enjoy outdoor sports like tennis, badminton, baseball, and soccer. Some major parks in Erindale include the Erindale Park, Riverwood Park, Huron Park, and Woodlands Park. One can also take a stroll along the Culham Trail and the trail along Huron Park in Erindale.

Outdoor Activities

The Credit Valley Golf and Country Club is located on Old Carriage Road. It includes a Clubhouse and provides the ultimate golfing experience, along with other services like dining, catering, fitness amenities, and a swimming pool. Erindale Park is also famous for Trout River fishing in the Credit River, cross-country skiing and Tobogganing in the winters. The Erindale Outdoor Swimming Pool is located on Shamir Crescent. It provides various activities like the ‘Swim to Survive Challenge’ etc. to the residents of the area.

Huron Park Recreation Centre includes a 25-metre swimming pool, a fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipments, a gymnasium for sports like volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer. Huron Park Arena, located on Paisley Boulevard West, is an indoor ice skating rink. It is open seasonally from September 1st to March 15th. It offers figure skating and ice skating lessons as well as ice hockey leagues for youth and adults.

Visual Arts Mississauga, located at Riverwood Park, provides numerous visual arts programs for children as well as adults. Some programs include acrylics, drawings, ikebana, oil paintings, stained glass, watercolors, cartooning, and clay sculpture classes. The Westdale Mall, located on Dundas Street West, is a community mall in the heart of Erindale. It includes stores like Dollarama, The Beer Store, Freshco, Popeyes, Zellers, and many more. The Woodlands Library, located on McBride Avenue, is a part of the Mississauga Library Systems.

Most of the houses in Erindale were built between the years 1950 to 1990. Some newer houses were built between 1990 and 2010. A vast majority of the houses in Erindale are single-detached houses that include bungalows, back splits and two storey, homes ranging from mid $400K to $3 million. There are also some older condominium apartment buildings offering large sized units, condo townhouse and semi-detached houses in Erindale.
